20th November 2005, animal rights activists carried out their demos against fur trade in more than 10 regions of CIS. The activists of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Vladimir, Barnaul, Apatity, Rostov-on-Don, Tuymen, Nizhny Novgorod, Petrozavodsk, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Saratov and Minsk showed their eagerness for consolidated actions. The important thing is that not only inhabitants of regions with moderate climate are against killing animals for fur, but those who live in cold regions are also against it. This fact shows us once again that there is always an alternative to fur.

This is the first multi-regional demo day carried out in Russia, and the participation of the activists from the countries of CIS makes the demo international.

Animal activists organize information stands and put up posters, telling people about the cruelty of fur industry, about the sufferings of animals in crowded cages of fur farms or animals, who are trapped for fur. They shout out slogans and unroll their posters: "Leave fur to animals!", "Fur is murder!", "Fur trade — death trade!".

Animal activists in Moscow wearing "Wear fur — kill alive!" and "Say no to cruelty!" tees were distributing their leaflets in the heart of Moscow, on the Manezhnaya square. The activists of Saint-Petersburg organized their actions on Nevsky avenue and near the Gostinny Dvor, where they were giving out leaflets. An information stand was placed on the central square of Apatity. The activists in Barnaul unrolled their posters against fur, shouting out slogans and giving out leaflets. In Nizhny Novgorod our activists "decorated" the territory close to fur salons with anti-fur stickers. A demo was carried out against opening a fur show in Vladimir. The activists in Saratov were giving out leaflets and sticking posters near fur salons.

Animal activists in regions took the active position just now, carrying out their actions every week. In Moscow every event, somehow connected with fur trade, is accompanied by protest actions.
